Description:

This book consists of pieces by researchers of the Center of European Studies at the Institute of International Relations and Political Science, Vilnius University and their colleagues from other research institutions. It combines two perspectives and two reflections on the tendencies of the EU development. On the one hand, it looks at the EU from the bottom-up, that is, from the perspective of one member state (usually Lithuania) or a few member states towards the impact of the EU on their national issues. On the other hand, this book employs a top-down perspective, postulating the subjectivity of the EU and evaluating its stability and activity. This book is dedicated to the students of the EU, researchers, and decision-makers responsible for Lithuanian strategic priorities in the EU, as well as the wider public interested in the EU.
