Apply for the Small States Summer School in Iceland

We invite you to apply for the Small States Summer School in Iceland.

This year’s programme will focus on the role of small states and security challenges in the North Atlantic region, with particular emphasis on critical thinking, dialogue, and active participant engagement.

The programme will be delivered using the Socratic method: learning will take place through dialogue between lecturers and students, discussions, and joint analysis of key issues, moving away from traditional, rigidly structured lectures that often limit meaningful academic interaction.

Those wishing to participate are invited to submit a motivation letter by 28 January via email to marija.kozlovskaja@tspmi.vu.lt. In the motivation letter, please briefly explain why you are interested in small states (foreign policy, security, international relations, or other related fields).

Master’s and PhD students are eligible to apply.
