The future of the EU: preparing the ground for future enlargement

IIRPS VU invites you to the discussion The future of the EU: preparing the ground for future enlargement”. 

 

The debate will focus on the best ways forward to make the EU enlargement a success, including the preparations to be made by both the current members and the candidate countries.

 

The discussion continues a previously held online event, “EU enlargement: creating an opportunity for a stronger EU.” 

 

Experts from Germany, the Netherlands, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Denmark, Ireland, Croatia, Poland, Sweden, and Finland are invited to join the event. Prof. Margarita Šešelgytė, director of the IIRPS VU, will be the discussion moderator.

 

The event will be held at the Institute of International Relations and Political Science, Vilnius University, room 402, on 11th September, at 1 PM (EET). The discussion will consist of two sessions to address (1) the homework that needs to be done for the EU and the candidate countries and (2) the ways to counter the possible challenges in institutional architecture.
