„How can Lithuanian NGOs support Ukraine’s recovery?“

Lithuanian NGOs implemented projects in Ukraine before the war, and during the war, they carried out significant humanitarian aid initiatives, but is it desirable to involve our NGOs more in the future? What could be the role of NGOs in Ukraine’s long-term recovery process? Ukraine has shown that its civil society is strong and capable, so what added value could Lithuanian NGOs bring?
You will be welcomed by the Chancellor of the Government of the Republic of Lithuania Giedrė Balčytytė, participants Dalia Krapavickaitė and Viktoriya Didenko will present their Kurk Lietuvai project on the opportunities and challenges Lithuanian NGOs face in supporting Ukraine, and Oleg Šurajev will speak about the activities of the 1K Foundation.
We will seek for answers in the following discussion, moderated by Lina Strupinskienė, together with panellists:
Mantas Adomėnas, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania,
Artūras Žarnovskis, Programme Manager for Ukraine Reconstruction and the European Peace Facility at the Central Project Management Agency,
Milda Laužikaitė, Head of the association “Creative Junctions”,
Nerijus Udrėnas, Professor at the Institute of International Relations and Political Science, Vilnius University, and Director of the charity and support foundation “Food for Ukraine”,
Ugnė Kumparskaitė, Head of the Platform for Development Cooperation.
The event will take place on 16 March, 16:00-18:00, at the Institute of International Relations and Political Science of Vilnius University (Vokiečių g. 10), Room 402. The event will be held in English to ensure the inclusion of Ukrainians.
