Professor Ramūnas Vilpišauskas awarded the Jean Monnet Chair position

We are proud to announce that professor Ramūnas Vilpišauskas has been awarded a prestigious Jean Monnet Chair position for 2020-2023! The Jean Monnet label is recognized as a sign of excellence, provided for professors with remarkable achievements, who specialize in the field of European Union studies.

Among 1447 proposals that were received by the European Commission, the project „Teaching, researching and debating contemporary European issues“ (TRENDS) got into the category of 25% best applications. In the course of the project, professor Vilpišauskas will orient towards the integration of the analysis of current issues and challenges of the EU into study programs of IIRPS VU, increasing the popularity and accessibility of the EU studies as well as promotion of high-quality and inclusive discussions about the EU in the society.
