Heroes are usually praised for their tremendous deeds and it especially applies to the state creators whose effort culminated in the restoration of Lithuanian statehood in the beginning of the 20th century. Most of the time the concrete merits of the Independence act signatories, members of the first cabinet, vice-ministers, (secret) envoys, negotiators are highlighted.

However, curious readers also care about their personal relations, temper, hobbies. People are also interested in how the prominent Lithuanian politicians of the time lived their everydaydaily lives – what they used to eat, who were their friends were, how did they acted during the occupation, what measures they took unusual things they used to perform in the political and economic processes. In addition to that, it is also important to mention remember those people, whose memory is getting vanished today, but their nowadays obscure individuals whose brave worksactivity strongly contributed to raising the Lithuanian independence question or to building up the state’s international recognition.
