A. Vilimaitytė is currently preparing her dissertation “Geopolitical Conflicts and Epistemic Hierarchies in Central Asian Higher Education: Internationalization Policy Choices in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan” (supervisor – Dr. Konstantinas Andrijauskas).

A. Vilimaitytė completed her bachelor’s degree in Scandinavian Studies at Vilnius University, during which she studied at Umeå University (Sweden) as part of an exchange program. She later obtained a master’s degree in Russian and Eastern European Studies at the IIRPS VU. Her master’s thesis, “Exploration of language choices and national identity formation among young, mobile Kazakhs through in-depth interviews,” was declared as the best final thesis of the course.

From 2022 to 2024, she volunteered at the Erasmus Student Network (ESN) at Vilnius University, serving as human resources coordinator in her final year. Since 2023, she has been teaching citizenship and defense skills courses to ninth graders in the Vilnius district.
