H.E. Michael B. Oren: Public Lecture "Israel's Foreign Affairs" - 2017 03 17
Michael Oren, the Deputy Minister for Diplomacy in Israel's Prime Minister's Office, was visiting Lithuania.
During this visit he not only met with Linas Linkevičius, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, but also came by the Institute and gave a lecture about „Israel‘s Foreign Relations“. It was followed by Q&A session moderated by deputy director for studies assoc. prof. Margarita Šešelgytė.
This meeting was organized by IIRPS VU together with Ministry for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania (MFA) and was open to the public.
Michael Oren is an American-born Israeli historian, author, politician. Currently, he is a member of the Knesset for the Kulanu party and the Deputy Minister for Diplomacy in the Prime Minister's Office. During his career, Mr. Oren was a visiting professor at Harvard University and Yale University, as well as Georgetown University. He is also an author of „New York times“ bestsellers „Power, Faith and Fantasy“, „Six Days of War: June 1967 and the Making of Modern Middle East“.
